Pool Rules
1.
Swimming pool privileges are limited to members in good standing and
their immediate families. Guests will be
admitted to the pool as follows: Guests
that reside out of the county will not pay a fee. All other guests will pay $2.00 per guest or
$5.00 per family, maximum of 5 persons.
Members will inform guests of the pool rules. Guests must be accompanied by a Coachman’s
Trail Homeowner at all times. 2.
Pool hours: Please see attached
schedule. The pool will close at 4:00 PM on Swim
meet nights (June 14, June 21, July 5). Watch the pool bulletin board and the
Trailblazer for exact dates. Lifeguard
discretion will be used to close the pool due to inclement weather. Pool re-opening status can be checked by
calling Pool Professionals of the Carolinas at 919-787-7878. 3.
Health rules require a soap shower before entering the pool. 4.
Swimming attire will include swim trunks and swimming suits. Cut off shorts and belts will be prohibited
at all times while swimming. 5.
Persons with open sores will not be allowed to use the facilities. 6.
At the discretion of the Lifeguard on duty, any person may be required
to pass a swim test before using the pool. 7.
No diving anywhere in the pool except for the diving well. 8.
At the discretion of the Lifeguard on duty, the pool may be cleared of
all swimmers at any time for a safety check.
Every hour the pool will be cleared of all swimmers
under age 16 for a period of ten minutes. This will serve as a safety check and also a
rest period for the children. 9.
Wednesdays will be the scheduled “Raft Day”, when small individual
rafts may be used all day in an appropriate way. Noodles may be used every day as long as they
do not interfere with other swimmers.
Certain floats and swimming aids may be used with the approval of the
Pool Manager. For the safety of all
swimmers, coins and other small objects are prohibited. The use of large squirt guns will
be permitted on Wednesdays, as long as they do not interfere with other
swimmers. 10. Everyone entering the pool area,
both members and guests, are required to sign in. 11.
Swimmers are not permitted to have food or drinks while in the
water. Trash containers are provided for
your convenience and cleanliness of the area.
Absolutely no glass allowed inside the pool enclosure. 12.
Children under nine (9) years of age will not be permitted in the pool
area unless accompanied by a responsible person designated by the parent or
guardian, 14 years of age or older.
Responsibility of the person accompanying the children to the pool continues
while the children remain in the pool area. 13.
Lifeguards are instructed to maintain proper order at all times. Inappropriate behavior will not be
tolerated. There will be no boisterous
activity, horseplay, running, skating, skateboards,
pushing or wrestling inside the fence enclosing the pool. The first infraction will be corrected with a
verbal warning. Subsequent infractions
may be corrected by a time-out or expulsion from the pool area for up to 24 hours,
subject to the Pool Manager’s discretion.
If an individual continues to have behavior problems at the pool, it may
be necessary to have a longer expulsion.
The length of the expulsion will be determined by the Pool Manager after
discussion with the Board. 14.
Only personnel authorized by the Recreation Committee are allowed in the
filter room, pump room or the equipment room. 15.
Gambling, profanity and intoxication are prohibited. 16.
Radios, tape/CD players and boom boxes without headphones are
prohibited. 17.
Lifeguard hours will be posted on the pool premises. When the pool is closed, persons caught on
the premises without permission from the Recreation Committee will be subject
to prosecution for trespassing. 18.
Use of the pool facility for private functions: The pool premises and clubhouse will be
available for private parties. This
privilege will be extended to homeowners after regular pool hours. All private party requests must be made
through Tracey Haeseker . We request that all pool parties be scheduled
7 days in advance to facilitate scheduling lifeguards. If a small child’s birthday is planned at the
pool during pool hours, Tracey Haeseker must be notified seven days in
advance. All pool rules are in effect
for all parties. 19.
Only one person on the diving boards at one time. Only one bounce is permitted. Diving is to be straight off board. 20.
Only one person is permitted on the pool slide/steps at one time. Only sitting at the top of the slide is
permitted. Feet first down slide
only. Weight limit on slide is 100 lbs.

All children not fully toilet trained and/or in diapers MUST wear a pair
of tight fitting plastic pants while in the pool. 22.
Items left in the Lost & Found will be donated to charity every two
weeks. 23.
Shoes should be worn while walking on the deck areas. 24. Bicycles
are not to be left at the clubhouse entrances or inside the pool fence. A bike rack is available in the clubhouse
parking lot. 25. Smoking
is not permitted in the pool area. 26. No

Pool Rental - A deposit of $200, refunded if everything is left clean and undamaged. A fee of $30 is required. At least 2 certified lifeguards, paid for by the renter, must be arranged through the Pool Manager.
